Video on SCCoPE project highlights progress in primary care training for tobacco dependence treatment

Strengthening Cessation Capacity of Primary care Professionals (SCCoPE), a project facilitated by the Public Health Foundation of India, is a step towards strengthening the capacity of primary care providers in tobacco cessation through evidence-based tobacco cessation training model in India. In a short period of time, this Global Bridges-funded project has trained 537 primary care physicians across 10 intervention districts in two states of India and demonstrated real world effectiveness of changes in cessation practices and improved quit rates among patients presenting in public health facilities.
